Websites such as The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project, The Samba, and various retailer websites are invaluable troves of restoration information on aircooled Volkswagen and early Porsche vehicles; if the answer exists to a Volkswagen-related question, it no-doubt exists somewhere on such sites. However, most of the information is buried either in unsearchable pdf documents or hard-to-navigate forum threads. Volks.wiki aims to centralize much of that knowledge, the hard facts, into a web- and search-friendly format. Further, being a wiki, it aims to do so by relying upon contributions by you, the community of aircooled enthusiasts.
